This special tour on Saturday June 21, will explore OAEC’s gardens from the perspective of our medicinal plant collection. Led by gardener Michelle Vesser, the tour will cover plant identification, medicinal and garden uses, as well as ways of incorporating medicinal plants into the garden design. $25 (meal not included). The Contemporary Issues Series is presented by Sonoma Country Day School to promote critical thinking about ideas of importance to the life of our community. Physicist, ecologist and activist Dr. Vandana Shiva will discuss the world food crisis and other critical issues of our day. This event is presented in partnership with Occidental Arts and Ecology Center and the International Forum on Globalization (IFG).Tickets are $20 in advance, $10 for Students and $25 at the door and include a wine reception and book signing after the talk.
