Jim Coleman

Jim Coleman is the Research Director for OAEC’s WATER Institute. He earned a Master’s Degree from Sonoma State University in Biology with a focus on the restoration of California native grasslands. Jim has worked as an itinerant naturalist from the mountains of Vermont and North Carolina to the forests of Alaska and Costa Rica. Jim was previously a maintenance intern at OAEC and has also worked in site maintenance here for the last six years. He recently helped the Salmon Creek School establish a native nursery and straw-bale greenhouse where students can learn to propagate plants for local habitat restoration.
