Lisa Preschel

Lisa Preschel is the Director of OAEC's School Garden Teacher Training and Support Program. She has a Biology/Spanish degree from Bard College and is a longtime volunteer Master Gardener. Before working with OAEC, Lisa worked for UC Cooperative Extension Nutrition Education Program in Trinity County teaching lessons on healthy eating and physical activity to students and low-incomeadults. Lisa directed a USDA food security project and community food assessment, which helped create community and school gardens. She built her own rural homestead and lived off the grid for 10 years .
