Heating water requires a great deal of energy and the cost of doing so increases every year. This three hour, non-residential course is for anyone interested in learning how a solar hot water system can greatly reduce energy bills while reducing one’s reliance on the non-renewable fossil fuels most commonly used to heat water. Geared towards all levels of interest – from those just wanting to learn more about how these systems work to those wanting to install and design one themselves, this course will cover the principals of solar hot water heating, components used to build various systems and how to site and size a system for your needs. Taught by by Matt Every of Integrated Elements and Brock Dolman this course will include a tour of a newly installed thermal drainback solar hot water heating system.
